Responsibilities
Laundry Aide Essential Functions
- Laundry Aide will follow established policies/procedures of laundry tasks
- Use proper protocols for picking up soiled linens, including isolation linens, and transporting them to the laundry department
- Use proper protective clothing/equipment while performing laundry duties
- Laundry Aide will maintain all cleaning schedules for each assigned area and following the laundry department schedules
- Maintain the confidentiality of all residents and their care to ensure residents rights, privacy and property are protected at all times
- Report and document resident and/or visitor incidents, accidents, complaints or allegations according to the facility’s policy and procedure using the designated occurrence reporting system
- Will also train in housekeeping functions as follows:
- Coordinating routine/terminal isolation procedures with Nursing Services
- Maintain knowledge of safety regulations, policies and procedures and following the established safety procedures and precautions
- Reporting all unsafe/hazardous conditions, defective equipment, etc. to supervisor immediately
- Honoring the residents’ personal and property rights
Qualifications
Laundry Aide Qualifications
- The ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and move equipment, supplies, etc in excess of 50 lbs
- Must be able to do constant walking, bending, lifting and standing for long periods during a scheduled shift
Salary : $1,000 - $5,000
