As an ACTIVITIES ASSISTANT you will be responsible for assisting in providing a program of activities, which will cover the spiritual, social, recreational, and educational needs of residents. You will find meaningful work in this role with the opportunity to collaborate and make a positive impact every day!
Responsibilities:
- Leads group and one-on-one activities as directed by the Activity Director.
- Assists in planning activity program for residents.
- Assists in recruiting residents for activity programs, resident council, etc.
- Transport residents to and from activities, meals, and appointments.
- Accompanies residents to activity programs outside the facility.
- Assesses resident needs and develops goals and approaches to any identified problems.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED/TASC required.
- Bachelors Degree preferred.
- Experience working with the geriatric population and/or in a recreational setting is preferred.
- Ability to lift over 60 pounds, stand, walk, sit, bend, and twist.
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate tasks and assignments.
- Ability to interact appropriately and professionally with staff, residents, vendors, and volunteers.
