Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Snack Bar Attendant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized snack bar area. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service or the food industry, with strong skills in POS systems, food handling, and sanitation. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of snacks, beverages, and light food items with attention to quality and presentation
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for transactions, sales, and upselling opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food safety practices, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders, and addressing inquiries
- Restock supplies, manage inventory levels, and ensure the snack bar area is tidy and organized
- Support with bussing tables or cleaning work areas as needed to ensure a clean environment
- Promote sales through upselling techniques to enhance guest experience
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or retail math is preferred; experience in quick service or fast food restaurants is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Experience working in a café, restaurant, grocery store, or retail setting is desirable
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting supplies or cleaning
