JOB TITLE/LOCATION:Aerospace Sales – Chicago TerritoryDESCRIPTION:We are currently recruiting for a dynamic Sales Engineer for our Chicago territory with a tremendous amount of energy, passion and motivation. The Sales Engineer will make sales contacts, research customer needs and develop application of products and services in an effective manner by carrying out various responsibilities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:Make regular sales calls to develop relationships and follow up on leadsCommit to at least (50%) of your time on the road visiting customersEstablishing long-term, ongoing repeat relationshipsWork directly with customers to establish a communication path with the customer and RBC divisionsWork with divisions and sales team support members to close deals & finalize contactsEstablish and maintain industry contacts that lead to salesDevelop sales and marketing proposals for customers on technical products & servicesDevelop and deliver technical presentations specific to customer needsMaintain up-to-date awareness of industry trends, new programs and market opportunitiesResearch and develop lists of potential customers in territoryPerform market research to determine customer needs & providing information to other staffDetermine market strategies & goals for each product and serviceObtain & coordinate data & information from staff & member groupsOther duties as assigned.EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Distribution, Engineering, or BusinessStrong mechanical aptitudeEXPERIENCE: Technical Sales Experience and sales trainingSKILLS / CERTIFICATIONS:The ideal candidate will have the following Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree required. BSME preferred3-5 years of experience Aerospace industrial experience strongly preferred.Proficient with MS Word and Excel.Presentation skills.Able to track rapidly changing competition & market forcesCapable of meeting established sales goals and quotasDecision Making skillsAble to develop strategies that result in revenues and organizational success.Available to travel for business purposes.RBC Bearings offers a competitive benefit package including a company car.
