What You'll Be Doing
Shipping Coordination:
- Prepare, process, and track outbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Verify shipping documentation, including bills of landing, packing lists, and carrier labels.
- Schedule carrier pickups and communicate shipment details with logistics partners.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding order status, shipment updates, and delivery confirmations.
- Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries via email and phone.
- Resolve any shipping discrepancies or delays in coordination with internal teams.
- Coordinate order processing through the warehouse to ensure accurate and efficient fulfillment.
- Collaborate with warehouse associates, inventory control, and shipping/receiving departments to prioritize orders.
- Monitor workflow and use WMS data to identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the shipping process.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and in accordance with company policies.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks as needed to support shipping operations.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and report maintenance issues.
- Assist with quality checks to verify accuracy in picking, labeling, packaging, and shipping.
- Participate in regular cycle counting to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Report inventory discrepancies or product damages promptly for correction and documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, orders, and inventory transactions in the WMS.
- Enter and update data in warehouse management and ERP systems.
What You Should Have
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, or logistics coordination
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams)
- Strong working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and inventory records
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand or walk for extended periods
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, and reach in warehouse environment
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail, effective team collaboration, customer focus, safety awareness, process efficiency, and technical proficiency
