Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Entry-Level Mechanic to join our team at Apex Waste Solutions. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are passionate about automotive repair and looking to develop their skills in a hands-on environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in mechanics and a willingness to learn from experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in diagnosing and repairing vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Use hand and power tools to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Keep accurate records of services and repairs completed.
- Communicate effectively with senior mechanics and customers about the condition of vehicles.
- Continuously learn and develop new skills under the guidance of senior team members
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- Basic understanding of automotive systems and repair techniques.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Previous experience in automotive repair is a plus, but not required.
Skills:
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair, and diagnostic procedures.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
- Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems (preferred).
- Ability to read and follow technical manuals, diagrams, and work orders.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with drivers, supervisors, and other technicians.
- Time management and organizational skills to handle multiple maintenance tasks.

- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for completing digital maintenance logs and service reports.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position, Monday through Friday 12pm-9pm with occasional Saturday's.
- Travel, evenings, and weekend hours may be required.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and tools.
- Ability to stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods of time.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $20.00 - $22.00 Hourly with CDL $24.00
