Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Entry-Level Mechanic to join our team at Apex Waste Solutions. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are passionate about automotive repair and looking to develop their skills in a hands-on environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in mechanics and a willingness to learn from experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in diagnosing and repairing vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Use hand and power tools to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Keep accurate records of services and repairs completed.
• Communicate effectively with senior mechanics and customers about the condition of vehicles.
• Continuously learn and develop new skills under the guidance of senior team members 

Qualifications:

Preferred CDL B license (with CDL pay is $24.00)

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 

• Basic understanding of automotive systems and repair techniques.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Previous experience in automotive repair is a plus, but not required.

Skills: 

• Ability to spot discrepancies, errors, and inconsistencies in invoices and payments.
• Efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks to ensure deadlines are met, even in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with vendors and internal teams.
• Ability to identify issues and find solutions quickly, especially when discrepancies arise.
• Maintain accurate and well-organized records for easy retrieval and reporting.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or other ERP systems.
• Strong skills in Excel, including the ability to create spreadsheets, use formulas, and manage data.
• Comfortable working with numbers and understanding basic financial transactions.
• Demonstrate a high level of integrity when dealing with financial data and vendor information.
• Ability to work well with colleagues across departments and provide assistance as needed.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position, Monday through Friday 12pm-9pm with occasional Saturday's.
• Travel, evenings, and weekend hours may be required.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and tools.
• Ability to stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods of time.

Compensation & Benefits:
