Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, and sprayers including airless paint spraying equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and schematics to accurately execute painting projects according to specifications
- Perform surface repairs including plastering, caulking, and patching to create smooth finishes before painting
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for surface preparation and finishing tasks
- Assist with renovation projects involving framing, trim carpentry, masonry, stucco application, and fixture installation
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools and disposing of waste materials following safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members on construction estimating tasks related to painting scope and materials
Skills
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes related to painting projects
- Proficiency in color theory to select appropriate colors and finishes for various surfaces
- Experience with residential and commercial painting techniques across diverse environments
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and airless paint sprayers
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately
- Knowledge of plastering, caulking, stucco application, restoration techniques, and masonry work
- Familiarity with renovation processes including remodeling and demolition prep
- Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating paint quantities
- Carpentry skills such as trim carpentry and frame carpentry for finishing touches
- Experience with industrial painting applications and maintenance work on construction sites
- Ability to operate welding equipment when necessary for specialized applications
- Knowledge of safety standards related to construction site work including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
