- Manage reservations and walk-in guest seating efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand, ensuring all materials are stocked and ready for service
- Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to coordinate seating and guest needs
- Answer phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, providing accurate information about wait times or reservations
- Assist in managing guest waitlists during busy periods, ensuring timely seating and minimizing wait times
- Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns politely and professionally, enhancing overall guest satisfaction
Experience
- Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest relations
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Experience working in hotel or hospitality settings is advantageous
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a positive attitude
- Knowledge of food service operations and restaurant procedures will support success in this role
