POSITION SUMMARY:
Rentals Outside Sales Representatives are responsible for generating revenue and building strong customer relationships by promoting and leasing oilfield rental equipment and services. They serve as a key liaison between the company and field customers, identifying business opportunities, managing accounts, and ensuring customer satisfaction.This role requires a proactive, results-driven individual who can effectively communicate with clients in the field and office settings. Rentals Outside Sales Representatives develop new business, maintain existing accounts, and coordinate with operations to ensure timely delivery and service of rental equipment. Their efforts directly contribute to operational efficiency, customer retention, and company growth within the oil and gas sector.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers in the oil and gas industry
- Actively pursue new sales opportunities to grow rental revenue within assigned territory
- Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and pickup of rental equipment
- Conduct regular customer visits, including field locations, to assess needs and promote services
- Prepare and present quotes, proposals, and rental agreements
- Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, and customer trends
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and forecasts in CRM systems
- Resolve customer concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with internal teams to support service quality and operational efficiency
- Meet or exceed sales targets and performance metrics
- Participate in safety meetings and ensure compliance with company and customer safety standards
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
- Perform special projects and additional duties as assigned by management
- Other related job duties as assigned
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong sales, negotiation, and customer service skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously
- Basic understanding of oilfield operations and rental equipment preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
- Ability to analyze sales data and identify growth opportunities
- Willingness to travel frequently within assigned territory
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
Experience: 3-5 years of outside sales experience; oilfield services or equipment rental experience strongly preferred
Computer Skills: Intermediate to Advanced
Certificates & Licenses:
- Valid Driver License with acceptable driving history
- Completion of company required trainings
Other requirements:
- Proficient reading, writing, speaking, and math skills (Proficient in English)
- Pass drug test and criminal background check and successfully pass all onboarding training requirements
- Ability to travel frequently, including overnight trips as needed
