The HR Specialist (Mid) supports the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and reports to the HR Policy / Process Lead. This position is mostly remote, with occasional requests to report onsite in Washington, D.C..
 
This role is for a proposal and is pending funding/award.

Role Summary
The HR Specialist provides analytical and operational support for HR policy alignment and business process standardization activities within the HCM transformation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support HR process mapping, documentation, and analysis
  • Assist in aligning HR policies with OPM guidance and HCM system capabilities
  • Document current and future-state HR processes
  • Support data collection and analysis for HR business functions
  • Assist with compliance reviews and policy updates
  • Coordinate with stakeholders across Operating Administrations
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 plus years of experience in HR, consulting, or program support
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to federal HR policies or shared services
  • Experience with process mapping or business analysis
