Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support in both administrative and clinical tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facility. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality patient care and maintaining efficient workflows within our outpatient and urgent care settings.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures in a hospital or outpatient setting.
- Perform administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling medical billing and coding.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, documenting medical histories, and ensuring proper patient flow.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and physicians to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with patients and staff.
- Support the operation of X-Ray services as needed within the facility.
- Adhere to safety protocols in accordance with Level I and Level II Trauma Center standards.
Experience
Candidates should have prior experience in a medical administrative support role or as a Medical Assistant, preferably in an urgent care or hospital environment. Familiarity with coding practices and medical terminology is highly desirable. A background in working within a Level I or Level II Trauma Center will be considered an asset. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this position.

Pay: $15.35 - $16.20 per hour
