Duties
- Greet guests promptly with a friendly, energetic demeanor to set a positive tone for their visit
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring comfort and satisfaction throughout their visit
- Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, providing accurate information about wait times and restaurant offerings
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to optimize seating flow and reduce wait times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station and waiting area
- Handle guest concerns or special requests courteously, demonstrating excellent guest relations and service skills
- Ability to earn tips each shift
Experience
- Previous host/host experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment preferred
- Strong background in food service or hospitality roles that emphasize customer service excellence
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and guest interaction techniques
- Experience working in hotel or guest services environments is a plus
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, serving protocols, and hospitality standards is beneficial
