Position Summary
The Sales Support Specialist plays a key role in supporting the sales team by ensuring accurate order processing, timely communication, and exceptional customer service. This position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter, track, and follow up on returns, credits, and open orders
- Cross-reference customer requirements to accurately generate quotes and process orders
- Review customer instructions and technical part requirements with a high level of detail
- Communicate professionally with customers via phone and email to provide updates and support
- Source products from vendors to fulfill customer orders when necessary
- Assist with internal processes including approvals, reports, and documentation
- Provide tracking information and required documentation to customers upon request
- Expedite urgent (“hot”) orders to meet customer or job site deadlines
- Collaborate closely with operations to ensure accurate and timely shipments
- Support the sales team through consistent communication and proactive follow-up
- Verify order accuracy prior to shipment to ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain organized records and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment
