Cybersecurity Engineer, Technology Systems - Columbia, MD

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to support our growing secure communications system business within the technology systems market. The successful candidate needs to be a high-energy, well-organized, detail-oriented, forward-thinking, analyst and planner with familiarity of DoD Cybersecurity standards and policies, and the ability to function independently and as part of a team. The required work location for this position is Columbia, MD. Candidates must be a US person in order to be considered.

Your tasks

• Assessment of R&S’s current cyber policies, the coverage of those policies, and areas of risks.
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures in accordance with the NIST RMF.
• Management and maintenance of the R&S system for NIST SP 800 for handling of CUI.
• Enable and provision strategic planning sessions intended at defining and ranking cybersecurity initiatives.
• Identify and execute activities required to ensure R&S is in compliance with all required cybersecurity standards (i.e. NIST, DISA, etc).
• Develop and maintain system security plans for customer projects. -Work closely with the IT, System Engineering, and Test Engineering teams to ensure that systems being implemented adhere to required security policies.
  
  

Your Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in Cybersecurity.
• Ability to brief senior leadership on cybersecurity topics.
• DoD 8570 Information Assurance Management (IAM) or IAT II or III Certification (i.e. Security , CASP ).
• Experience coordinating across functional entities within an organization.
• Team player with a positive and professional demeanor, strong customer service awareness, and excellent organizational skills.
• Experience with RMF assessments utilizing STIGs, SCAP, and ACAS.
• Systems engineering background and experience with hardware/software integration.
• Experience providing information assurance, engineering, or operational support including supporting information operations, cyber operations, system administration, and systems security.
• Experience evaluating the cyber compliance of a system(s) against current Risk Managed Framework (RMF) and DoD/NIST Cybersecurity policies.
• Must be a US Person.

The total compensation for this position is $90K-$130K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
