Independent CDL Driver – Local Delivery Route
Rogue Runners LLC is looking for a dependable, safety-focused independent driver to operate a local delivery route based out of our Grants Pass, Oregon location.
This is a steady local opportunity with home-daily routes, weekly pay, and consistent work.
Position Details
- Route: Local deliveries from the Grants Pass Home Depot to residential and commercial customers
- Equipment: 22-foot flatbed truck equipped with a Moffett all-terrain forklift
- Schedule: Monday through Saturday
- Start time: 6:30 AM
- End time: Deliveries completed for the day
- Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week
- Home every evening
- Pay: $1,000 per week
- Pay frequency: Weekly
- Position: 1099 independent contract carrier
- Growth opportunity: Additional routes may become available, with potential for full-time growth
Job Duties
The driver will be responsible for safely transporting and delivering building materials and other products from the Grants Pass Home Depot to local residential and commercial customers.
Primary duties include:
- Safely operate a 22-foot flatbed delivery truck on local routes.
- Pick up and transport customer orders from Home Depot to designated delivery locations.
- Secure and inspect cargo before and during transportation to ensure loads are transported safely.
- Use the Moffett to offload materials from the flatbed and place them in the customer's designated delivery area, when site conditions permit.
- Safely maneuver the Moffett forklift over a variety of surfaces and terrain.
- Evaluate delivery locations for safe access, unloading, and placement of materials.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding deliveries and placement of materials.
- Obtain and maintain required delivery documentation and signatures.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain the truck, flatbed, and Moffett equipment in a clean and safe operating condition.
- Follow all applicable DOT, company, and safety requirements.
- Provide reliable, professional, and customer-focused service on every delivery.
This position involves physical work, operating a commercial vehicle and Moffett forklift, and safely handling deliveries at residential, commercial, and construction locations.
Driver Requirements
Qualified candidates must have:
- A valid Class A or Class B CDL
- At least 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Previous forklift/Moffett experience
- A clean, maintainable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- A professional, customer-service-oriented attitude
- A strong commitment to safety and reliability
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Ability to pass a DOT drug test
