Job Overview

We are looking for a groomer to join our salon who is passionate about grooming and has a great eye for detail! We are looking to create a perfectly tailored service for each client we work on in a calm, comfortable space.
The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and the skills necessary to provide exceptional grooming services to our clients. This role requires a blend of technical grooming expertise, attention to detail, outstanding customer service skills, and a genuine care for the well-being of pets.
Our haircuts start at $125 and go up from there. We are offering 40%-50% commission. We are happy to adjust prices and generally leave the ending total of each service up to you.

Duties
- Perform grooming services such as bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, providing recommendations for grooming and care.
- Handle animals with care and ensure their safety during grooming sessions.
- Maintain cleanliness in the grooming area, including sanitizing tools and equipment after each use.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs, grooming options, and any health concerns observed during grooming.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pet grooming is required or a strong portfolio may be considered
- Strong technical/detail skills
- Interest in developing skills & continued education
- Knowledge of various dog breeds and their specific grooming needs.
- Excellent customer service skills to build rapport with pet owners and address their inquiries effectively.
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately, including experience with heavy lifting when handling larger breeds.
