Position Purpose: Position Purpose: The VDC Department supports our Project Teams, Preconstruction Department and Pursuit Teams, implementing Virtual Design & Construction processes and technology. VDC Specialists are the executioners of these processes and technology with our project teams. Our Specialists can be found at the jobsite working hand-in-hand with the RO Team and our Trade Partners, as well as in the office working with various departments on implementing innovative solutions to our industry. As a VDC Intern you will be assisting our VDC Specialists in their day-to-day project support ranging from architectural and structural validation to model and clash management in RO's Systems Coordination Process. The VDC Inter will also assist with Marketing and Preconstruction in development of proposals, creating site logistics plans and images that portray the technology we use on projects. The intern is not limited to learning only about what the VDC Department does but will have an overview of the construction process and how VDC is integrated at RO.

Intern duties are dependent on education and skill level and may include the following:

• Create and Develop model-based content for general needs to support overall building construction project delivery and project pursuits (concept modeling, mock-ups, renderings, building animations, etc.).
• Support VDC implementation opportunities during construction phases.
• Responsible for aiding project personnel in the implementation of VDC processes and best practices on their projects through pro-active training, support and examples.
• Assist with project-level execution of 3D Spatial Coordination with Trade Contractors.
• Assist with execution of reality capture which includes processing and deliverables from laser scanning, 360 photos, and drone footage.
• Assist the collaborative project planning team with 2D drawing overlay and 3D model reviews.
• Strong self-starter with an inquisitive attitude.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Valid interest and passion in pursuing a career in Virtual Design and Construction.
• General familiarity with construction concepts, practices and procedures.
• Enjoys collaboration and working with others to solve complex problems.
• Demonstrates proper performance of skills reflected and validated by the competency checklist.
• Adheres to Rogers-O’Brien policies, procedures, all safety plans, and all standards imposed by regulatory organizations.
• 3D Model content creation experience with Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD is preferred.
• 3D Model navigation experience with Autodesk Navisworks preferred.
• Experience creating 3D models and interpreting 2D drawings is preferred.
