Must be able to properly start up, diagnose, and repair issues on various types of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment
Requirements
Job Responsibilities (List is not inclusive)
- Startup and test equipment on commercial and industrial facilities.
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and equipment.
- Log all startup information and service work orders into the company-provided iPad.
- Meet equipment startup deadlines and inform the Service Manager of any issues.
- Maintain inventory and cleanliness of the company-provided vehicle.
- Follow all safety rules and procedures of Rogers Mechanical and General Contractors.
- Cleaning, adjusting, and maintaining HVAC systems.
- Provide technical direction and on-the-job training to customers.
- Must be able to work after hours and weekends with short notice.
- Must demonstrate proficiency and knowledge of air duct distribution systems, commercial and industrial.
- Know relevant building codes, current legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures for the installation and maintenance of systems.
- Working knowledge of HVAC equipment function and operations.
- Ability to properly braze copper refrigerant piping.
- Proficient in reading schematics and mechanical prints.
- Air duct distribution systems in commercial and industrial settings.
- Relevant policies and procedures for installation and maintenance.
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems.
- Ability to safely work at elevations such as roofs, scissor lifts, and ladders.
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively with other trades.
- Time management skills.
- Familiar with Building Automation Systems.
- Familiar with RTUs, curbs, tie-ins, and measuring.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- OSHA 10 Certification required.
- EPA certification required.
- Must have one to three years of experience.
- Required to stand, walk, and sit.
- Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
- Use hand (s) and fingers to handle or feel objects or controls.
- Reach with hand (s) and arm (s).
- Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds.
