Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely operate a water truck to control dust, maintain moisture content, and support grading operations.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles and equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report mechanical issues promptly.
- Assist with grading, excavation, utility installation, erosion control, and other sitework activities.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and small construction equipment as needed.
- Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment to job sites.
- Follow project plans, specifications, and directions from supervisors.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, DOT regulations, and OSHA requirements.
- Assist other crew members with construction tasks as workload demands.
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with acceptable driving record.
- Previous experience operating water trucks or other construction equipment preferred.
- Experience in heavy grading, sitework, road construction, or related construction activities preferred.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work on uneven terrain.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work extended hours, including overtime, when required.
