Rogers Group Inc. is currently seeking an
Off Road Haul Truck
for the Quarry Stripping Crew, North Alabama Operations Area, Alabama SMA, reporting to the Plant Manager assigned to the stripping crew. The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to lead safety, quality, and revenue generation throughout our existing operations and additional operations through growth.
Job Details
- Wages start at $25.00hr
- Starting wage due to travel between plant locations (Red Bay, Tuscumbia, Tanner, Madison, Lacey's Springs, and Hollywood Alabama)
- No Per Diem or travel pay; Starting wages increased to accommodate extra cost
- Fulltime/Permanent
- Day Shift
- $3.00 Night Shift Premium for night shift work
- Weekend work may be required
- Overtime available
Job Responsibilities
- Operate haul trucks to remove overburden and stripping material for quarry production.
- Operate haul trucks to move shot rock the pit to the crusher and begin the crushing process, as needed.
- Perform daily pre-and post- inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
- Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.
- Effective communication skills applicable to position.
- Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
- Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
Qualifications
- Dedication to safe work practices.
- Previous experience operating both rigid frame haul trucks and/or articulating haul trucks preferred.
- Ability to perform general laborer and clean-up duties on the ground and in the plant as needed/directed.
- Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
- Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours as needed.
- Pass pre-employment drug screen.
- Able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record and Valid Drivers License required
