Rogers Group is currently seeking a Blaster Helper (or comparable experience) to conduct the daily blasting operations at our Reostone Quarry and Underground Mine in Nashville, TN. The candidate will be responsible for the daily loading, transportation, storage and security of all aspects of the underground mine blasting process.

- Location: Nashville, TN
- Wages start at $30.00/hr.
- Overtime available and extensive medical and retirement benefits
- The candidate will be responsible for the daily loading, transportation, storage and security of all aspects of the underground mine blasting process.
- The person will also be responsible for keeping and maintaining the daily and monthly blasting reports for all explosive materials.
- They will also be required to assist in mine management of the drilling and shot layout process to include shot timing and fragmentation analysis.
- Uncompromising focus on safety excellence
- Underground Blaster Handler's Card- or willingness to obtain one
- Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms compliance
- Demonstrated ability to safely perform all essential functions of this position
- Two (2) years minimum of blasting experience in a quarry or mining environment preferred
- Two (2) years of underground mining experience preferred
- Proven safe work record with belief and value seen in courageous leadership model
- Good attendance record
- Ability to be an integral team member in a growing, fast-paced environment
- Proven record with full cycle mining including, but not limited to drilling, blasting, haulage and ground support
- Candidate must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.
