What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrician position at Rogers Electrical Contracting Company, Inc.?
Industrial Electrical Contracting Company located in north central West Virginia is currently seeking to hire full-time positions for electricians. High School diploma or GED equivalent. Must have 2-5 years Electrical experience. Licensed electricians preferred but not required. Candidate must be willing to travel. 8–10-hour shifts Monday-Friday with overtime available.
Job Consists of:
Supporting the testing of electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
Safely use various tools and equipment used in electrical trade.
Adhering to all safety standards and regulations
Maintaining a clean and safe work area
Documenting work performed and parts used for each job.
Attending training and educational opportunities to improve knowledge and skills
Follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
Inspecting and evaluating the operation of electrical components and systems
Installing new industrial electrical systems, including wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus
Identifying and repairing electrical problems using a variety of testing devices
Reading and interpreting electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics
Conducting preventive maintenance to avoid unnecessary repairs and downtime in the factory
Documenting repairs and maintenance procedures for future reference
Adhering to all safety policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment
Communicating effectively with management, engineers, and co-workers about maintenance progress and challenges
Training other electricians and apprentices and supervising their work
Ordering and maintaining inventory of electrical supplies and equipment
