Dr. Roger P. Rose, MDVIP Affiliate, is looking for a Private Family Practice, Certified Medical Assistant. Our office is known for a high level of patient care. As a Medical Assistant the care of our patients is very important to us. We are looking for our potential candidate to have a friendly smile, compassion for our patients, outstanding patient care, must be good with elderly patients. Dr. Roger P. Rose only sees approximately 11 patients per day. Our office hours are Monday - Thursday 7:30am-4:00 pm with Fridays off. Summer hours may vary depending on schedule as well when the doctor is on vacation. Hours would be 7:30am to 1:00pm during the doctors vacation days , Summer hours will vary with most afternoons leaving early. Hours can be added on those days if workflow allows.
Responsibilities
- Athena EMR experience required, Dr. Roger P. Rose currently uses paper charts. currently transferring to electronic Athena EMR. responsibilities include documentation, file, and prepping charts, paper charts are to be ready prior to the next day appointments. make sure all required test/paperwork is reviewed and updated.
- Maintain fax, pharmacy request, referrals as needed, lab orders, Patient calls returned by the end of the day.
- Specialized testing such as Pulmonary Function etc.
- Prepare patients for examination, take vitals, and record patients' health history
- Set-up EKG machines, administer injections and medications, and perform routine specimen collection and tests
- Prepare equipment and examination rooms, and clean instruments
- Assist physician with medical treatments, procedures, and exams
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and equip exam rooms with appropriate supplies
- Assist with front office duties, phones, scheduling, coverage as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited medical assistant program preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner at all times
- Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
- Firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies
- Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $ $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 35 per week
