What are the responsibilities and job description for the B2B EDI Integration Developer position at Roehl Transport?
The Opportunity
Are you a passionate developer looking to make a real impact? At Roehl Transport, we don’t just move freight—we move businesses forward with cutting-edge technology. As a B2B EDI Integration Developer, you’ll make a difference by analyzing, designing, building, testing, deploying, and maintaining EDI solutions. This development includes creating partner-specific customization through code and maps and enhancing our current EDI process to stay up to date with the latest standards while improving the process, performance, and security. Additionally, you will work on the automation and documentation of EDI onboarding and support utilizing various communication channels such as AS2, SFTP, and APIs.
The Fit
At Roehl Transport, our values guide our daily interactions with each other and our customers. Every day we live our values of Safety, Driver Driven, Innovation, Unity in Diversity, Delivering Success, and Do the Right Thing. We are looking for an individual who shares our values and is motivated to grow and develop professionally with a team committed to their success! We work hard, and we have fun collaborating as we accomplish our goals.
Our industry is very dynamic, and no two days are the same. That is one of the reasons we love what we do! So, you will need to be very adaptable, able to plan, organize, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks. You will also need to be a pro at analyzing, anticipating, and evaluating problems, solutions, and situations to draw logical conclusions and make well-informed decisions.
Qualifications
No direct experience in transportation is necessary. To be successful in this role, you simply need to have Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) experience, attention to detail, and the ability to learn new technologies to be applied within your work.
A big plus, though, if you have experience with: Cleo Integration Cloud, Azure Integration Services, SQL Server, BizTalk Mapping Tool, C#, Java, XML, XSLT, Team Foundation Studio (TFS), Azure DevOps, and GIT.
The Company
Roehl Transport was founded by Everett Roehl in 1962 when he began providing motor carrier service with a single truck. Over sixty years later, Roehl Transport, still family-owned, has grown to one of the nation's largest, most progressive, and safest transportation and logistics companies. With over 2,800 employees, Roehl is headquartered in Marshfield, Wisconsin, and has offices in Appleton, WI; Chicago, IL; Atlanta, GA; Phoenix, AZ; and Dallas, TX. Roehl provides truckload service throughout the United States and Canada. We service over 8,800 customers and some of the most recognized brand names in the nation. We are a 2018 Forbes Magazine Best Mid-Sized Employer.
