Immediate Hire: Immigration Attorney (Full-Time)and Criminal Defense Attorney (Full-Time)
Location: Fairfield, Ohio (Rodriguez & Porter, LTD est. 2009)
Team: 3 attorneys • 7 legal assistants • Collaborative, bilingual-friendly environment
We’re growing and seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney and/or Criminal Defense Attorney. Ideally with experience in both but not required. Ohio Bar admission required.
About Us
Our practice includes: removal defense (EOIR), USCIS petitions, BIA appeals, criminal defense, divorce/domestic relations, juvenile, Civil, and business law, Personal Injury.
Option A: Immigration Attorney
You’ll handle:
- EOIR removal defense (master/merits) and bond hearings
- USCIS petitions/applications; motions, briefs, and BIA appeals
- Client consults, strategy, and evidence development
- Delegation to/paralegal supervision and quality control
You bring:
- Strong EOIR litigation USCIS filings experience
- Excellent writing/research; deadline discipline
- Spanish a plus (not required)
Option B: Criminal Defense Attorney
You’ll handle:
- Appearances in state & municipal courts (misdemeanor/felony)
- Motions practice, discovery, plea negotiations, trial prep
- Client communication, jail visits, and case strategy
- Delegation to/paralegal supervision and quality control
You bring:
- Proven courtroom experience and motion practice
- Strong negotiation and client management skills
- Spanish a plus (not required)
Ideal Candidate (Hybrid)
Experience in both immigration (EOIR/USCIS) and criminal defense—comfortable spotting immigration consequences of criminal dispositions and coordinating strategies that protect a client’s full picture.
