Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Recommend menu items and upsell specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage food handling and sanitation standards diligently to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure proper food preparation, presentation, and timely service
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and maintaining a pristine dining environment
- Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems like OpenTable or cash registers while managing basic math calculations
- Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally
- Uphold food safety standards and sanitation protocols consistently throughout shifts
Experience
- Previous restaurant experience in food service or hospitality roles is highly preferred
- Experience working with Toast POS system is advantageous
- Proven ability in customer service, guest relations, and upselling techniques within a food industry setting
- Familiarity with food handling, sanitation procedures, and basic math for cashiering tasks
- Strong time management skills to handle busy service periods efficiently
- Knowledge of food preparation processes and kitchen operations enhances overall performance
