Job Summary
Support the day-to-day accounting operations for Rodizio Grill’s corporate-owned restaurants and franchise support operations. This role will partner closely with the Vice President of Finance to maintain strong accounting processes, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support operational decision-making in a multi-entity environment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, process-driven accountant who is excited to help build and improve accounting systems as the company grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements for corporate-owned restaurant locations and franchisor operations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Maintain general ledger accuracy across multiple entities and cost centers.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies or unusual variances.
- Support cash reporting, bank reconciliations, and financial analysis activities.
- Assist with sales tax support, annual audit preparation, and coordination with external accounting partners.
- Support franchise accounting activities, including royalty reporting and franchise-related financial reporting.
- Analyze financial results and assist with operational reporting and variance analysis.
- Help improve accounting workflows, documentation, and internal processes as the company grows.
- Collaborate with operations and leadership teams to support financial visibility and reporting accuracy.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of accounting experience required.
- CPA designation is considered a plus.
- Experience with accounting systems such as Restaurant 365, NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar ERP platforms; ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple entities or cost centers simultaneously.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Comfortable working in a lean, fast-paced environment where processes are still being built.
- Excellent communication skills — able to translate financial data for non-finance stakeholders.
