What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electronics Quality Inspector position at Rodelco Electronics?
Rodelco Electronics, a small fast-growing business located in Ronkonkoma NY that serves the military electronics markets, has an opening for a Quality Inspection. In this position the individual will be responsible perform inspections of complex, close tolerance machined parts and sub-assemblies with critical internal and external dimensions and the ability perform visual inspection under a microscope. Inspection of final assembly items to customer/internal source control drawings also required. Must have the ability to understand customer quality control requirements as called out in purchase orders and contracts and use this ability to interface with customer source inspectors for customer final inspection.
Essential Job Functions:
Complete understanding of engineering drawings, standards and manufacturing operation sheets for detailed parts, subassemblies and final assemblies including:
- Working knowledge of conventional inspection equipment, (micrometers, calipers etc.)
- Generate inputs for non-conforming material reports based on inspection operations performed
- Use of standard record keeping documentation
- Able to create reports and summary of the inspection reports.
- Communicate and work effectively with various groups of employees in a team-based environment.
- US Citizenship required
Quality Requirements:
- Inspect products for incoming inspection for verification of acceptability utilizing AQL requirements.
- Ensure proper inspections have been performed to ensure product quality.
- Verifies specified dimensions of product or material when required for customer complaints, engineering evaluation and/or material review board requests.
- Familiar with J-STD-001 soldering and IPC-A-610 workmanship standards.
- Fulfill and adhere to quality standards, inspection processes, quality plans, documents, and reports.
- Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings
Training and Experience:
Minimum 5 years experience in mechanical and electronic assembly and inspection The understanding of assembly drawings, specifications, charts, tables, etc.

Salary Range:
- $27.00 - $33.00 Hour
