About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a bookkeeper. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our firm's finances, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. You will be a key player in supporting our operations and contributing to the firm's success.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including general ledgers, income statements, and balance sheets.
- Manage trust accounts according to IOLTA regulations.
- Generate invoices and track client fees.
- Assist with payroll processing and tax preparation.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all financial transactions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
- Proficient in QuickBooks
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with legal accounting
