Role: Field Sales and Education Manager

Reports to: Retail Account Director

Supports: Retail Sales, Events and Education Needs

Overview: The Field Sales and Education Manager will drive the retail sales performance nationally, while maintaining corporate profitability and strong retail partnerships. Develop and coach 3rd party or company field sales team to achieve territory goals and build their profession skills.

Responsible for all oversight, creation and management of key company sales, event and training initiatives. Brand Guardian.

Key Responsibilities

Retail Sales

  • Build and deploy retail strategy based on company objectives that will enable achievement of weekly, monthly and annual results by door
    • Flawless execution of the Retail Marketing Calendar
    • Help build out effective sales reporting and analytics to measure retail sales and ROAS
  • Support the Field Sales Team members to achieve their territory goals by presenting plans by door/territory seasonally and scheduling quarterly on-site meetings to build territory strategy
  • Be responsible and proactive; adjust strategy according to performance and achievement through weekly review of results
  • Ensure the highest level of execution in all marketing and retail activities, including visual merchandising updates
  • Support Budget creation through guidance, analysis and management
Education

  • Partner and collaborate with marketing team to create sales, education and eventing materials – quarterly or to support new product launches
  • Partner with retailer skincare sales and education manager to create compelling education moments that drive Beauty Advisor engagement and love for Brand
  • Collaborate on all Education Video from content to creation
  • Write all Education modules for 3rd party Field Sales team, Retailer Beauty Advisors
  • Execute all new launch trainings to 3rd party Field Sales team and Retailer Beauty Advisors
  • Facilitate/Lead all Market and Cluster trainings for Retailers
  • Collaborate with Retail Account Director and Marketing team to develop and execute National Sales Meetings and provide training and support materials in collaboration with marketing and SVP, General Manager
  • Manage the master library, containing all updated presentations, scripts, and modules
  • Create VIP Guest events upon special requests as communicated by Retail Account Director/PR

Communication

  • Communicate all Sales, Events and Education initiatives to Leadership Team at monthly meetings
  • Communicate and research competitive information to Commercial Leadership Team
  • Communicate to Field Sales Team product information and latest developments
  • Support the pitch process of for new product launches and initiatives to the Retailer Team
  • Support Field Sales Team with review of performance, questions and ideas via weekly conference calls
  • Develop and create a Monthly Newsletter to celebrate wins, communicate company updates and to keep the Field Sales Team up to date on all Brand initiatives
  • Manage education presentations on Brand Resource Site
  • Communicate with Retail Account Director any inventory or merchandising concerns

New Hires

  • Create an on-boarding training program for all new hires on the Field Sales Team
  • On-board and/or coordinate with 3rd party vendor on all new hires with product knowledge and selling skills
  • Manage new hire induction in relation to tools and support materials
  • Train corporate office new hires on product knowledge

Budget Management

  • Manage budgets for freelance, promotional, travel and entertainment and business development
  • Partner with Retail Account Director to develop sales and education budget
  • Track expenses monthly to ensure spend is in line with budget
  • Evaluate Sales, Events and Education Trackers to establish realistic gratis quantities

Qualifications

Strong Presentation Skills

Ability to build and develop education curriculum

Ability to Motivate and Inspire sell through in Field sales team

Represent Brand Philosophy and Protect Brand Identity

Effective communicator with an emphasis on consistency and integrity

Efficient in technology skills

5-6 years of Experience in Field Sales Leadership role, managing teams
