Visitor Experience Assistant

The Visitor Experience Assistant will assist with events, lunches and meetings at Rodale Institute's Main Campus in Kutztown, PA as well as the Founders Farm in Allentown, PA.  This position will also assist the Store Manager in handling daily operations, including opening and closing of the center, greeting visitors, addressing customer inquiries and checking out purchases. This is a position that interacts with customers, employees and stakeholders on a regular basis. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop a general knowledge of Rodale Institute’s projects and programs to best interact with customers and ensure a positive visitor experience
• Greet all visitors with enthusiasm and welcome questions
• Assist Store Manager with:
  • Running customer checkout
  • Unpacking orders, stocking shelves and pricing merchandise
  • Maintaining the Visitor Center’s neat appearance
• Assist Visitor Experience Manager with setting up, serving and cleaning up from events, lunches and meetings
• Assist in designing and maintaining the Visitor Center Landscape
• Be available evenings and weekends as needed for events
• Other duties may/will be assigned on a case by case and as-needed basis

• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent organization and communication skills
• Positive, helpful attitude
• Flexible schedule to work part-time one day/week and provide coverage during vacations

Hours:

• This is a part-time position (approximately 25 hours/week)
