Local Class A Driver 100% NO TOUCH (Must have manual transmission experience)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Safely and efficiently deliver and pick up trailers at customer sites. Perform all job duties according to company policies and procedures.

• Pick up and deliver containers at customer sites timely and efficient.
• Provide customers with appropriate paperwork.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on every truck driven daily. Ensure equipment defects are reported immediately.
• Accurately complete all paperwork and documents required by Federal DOT and the Company daily.
• Drivers are responsible for their load. Ensure appropriate material distribution and securing of load.
• Driver must be willing to switch from one type of truck to another, depending on needs.
• Provide a positive representation of the company by demonstrating safe, responsible driving practices.
• Operate company vehicle in a safe manner by applying knowledge and skills in maneuvering vehicles at varying speeds in difficult situations such as heavy traffic and inclement weather, or in tight loading dock areas. Keep tractor interior clean and orderly.
• Monitors the truck’s mechanical functions and ensures the truck is maintained in accordance with maintenance schedules.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• At least 6 months of Class A driving experience is required (2 years of driving experience preferred).
• Must be able to drive standard trucks (manual transmission).
• Must have driving experience with the following vehicles: tractor trailers
• Clean driving record/MVR.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a current DOT physical card.
• Must meet DOT and company requirements related to drug and alcohol testing.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to enter and exit truck cab using foot and hand holds.
• Will be required to complete and pass a post-offer physical, including drug and alcohol screening.
• Depending on need, one must be able to exert force for pushing and pulling.
• Able to stoop, bend, twist, balance, climb, crouch, and kneel.
• Driver may need to climb trailer later if tarp is snagged.

Pay: $1,300.00 - $2,000.00 per week
