Duties
- Assist with asphalt paving operations, ensuring materials are properly prepared and laid down smoothly.
- Support the setup and cleanup of construction sites, including loading and unloading materials with dump trucks.
- Maintain safety protocols by inspecting equipment and work areas regularly, adhering to OSHA standards.
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently while maintaining high safety standards.
- Assist in site preparation, grading, and finishing work to achieve quality paving results.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in construction or paving projects is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as skid loaders, loaders, graders is a plus.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety procedures and utility locating techniques.
- Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards safety and quality work.
- Valid driver’s license preferred; experience operating front loaders or similar machinery is a bonus.
