Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project requirements.
- Use hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and woodworking machines to cut, shape, and assemble building materials.
- Perform framing, drywall installation, door hanging, cabinet installation, and siding work with precision.
- Execute finishing tasks such as caulking, plastering, painting, and trim carpentry to achieve polished results.
- Assist with concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, roofing, and water damage restoration as needed.
- Operate heavy machinery safely for tasks like heavy lifting, metal stud framing, or fabrication projects.
- Follow construction safety protocols including power tool safety practices and proper handling of wood construction materials.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Support restoration efforts by performing mold remediation, plastering, stucco application, or siding replacement when required.
- Install fixtures such as lighting, cabinetry, doors, and other hardware following detailed instructions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction or carpentry with a solid understanding of residential carpentry techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools for woodworking.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and familiarity with building codes and safety regulations.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights or in confined spaces safely.
