Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair.
- Engage with guests to understand their preferences and recommend drinks or menu items to enhance their experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring all tools and glassware are sanitized and well-stocked at all times.
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, handling cash, credit cards, and digital payments seamlessly.
- Develop new beverage recipes and craft signature cocktails to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
- Monitor alcohol consumption responsibly, adhering to all food safety and alcohol service regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and management on special events like banquets or catering functions to deliver exceptional service.
Requirements
- Proven experience in bartending within fine dining establishments, nightclubs, or hospitality venues with a strong knowledge of mixology principles.
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing transactions efficiently.
- Strong understanding of beverage recipes, spirits, wine knowledge, craft beer trends, and cocktail techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing multiple orders swiftly.
- Ability to manage time effectively in high-volume settings while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures in a bar environment.
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings preferred; catering or banquet experience is a plus.
- Basic math skills for retail math calculations such as change-making and inventory management.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by hospitality industry schedules.
