Responsibilities
- Drive the veterinary ultrasound specialist to each small animal clinic while she dictates case reports. The territory ranges from Edwards, Colorado to Carbondale, Colorado.
- Help to carry equipment from the car into each clinic, set up the ultrasound equipment, and at the end of the case clean up equipment and then reload it into the car.
- Safely restrain and position patients using proper animal restraint techniques.
Skills
- Safe driving skills, including winter driving
- Physical ability to help carry equipment into and out of the vehicle (maximum of 35#)
- Willingness to start the work day early 6:30 AM - 7:30 AM in Wolcott, Colorado. The work day is typically 9-12 hours every Wednesday.
- Comfort with restraining dogs and cats for ultrasound procedures.
- Have the ability to monitor patients during the ultrasound procedure for breathing rate, pain or aggressive behavior
- Fun, happy, personality to spend days traveling from clinic to clinic
- Certified veterinary technician degree is a plus but not required.
Pay: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
