Training and Development:

Key Responsibilities:

As a Roadside Diesel Technician, your primary duties will involve:

•  Responding Quickly: Attend dispatched jobs promptly and safely, providing timely roadside assistance.

•  Diagnosing Failures: Accurately assess mechanical and electrical issues on-site, including engine, transmission, and suspension problems, and perform repairs with professionalism and urgency.

•  Performing Repairs: Conduct repairs on various systems, including diesel engines, brakes, tires, and electrical components, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

•  Documentation: Use digital tools for inspections and maintain communication with dispatch, documenting parts used, labor performed, and repair results.

•  Customer Interaction: Ensure customer satisfaction through professional interactions, addressing concerns and providing clear explanations of repairs.

Working Conditions:

This role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain. You’ll need to be flexible and responsive to changing environments while managing roadside challenges.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should have experience in:

•  Diesel repair, roadside assistance, mechanical diagnostics, and tire service work.

•  Tools & Working Smart Phone.

•  A valid driver’s license with a good MVR history.

•  The ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors under various conditions.

Qualifications:

Requirements: 
Level A Technician - High. A minimum of 10 years of experience in diagnosing and repairing light, 
medium and heavy-duty trucks.
• Must have the ability to perform the following: 
o Engine diagnostics 
o Internal engine repair
o Advanced electrical 
o Regeneration
o DPF troubleshooting and repair
o Transmission and driveline internal repairs
o Differential internal repairs
o Gear Box overhauls
o Steering and suspension, alignment
o ECM flashing 
o DTC repair
• Accurately document work performed on repair orders
• The skill set listed above is required to successfully perform the duties of this position and 
necessitate an individual with the capacity to multitask under tight deadlines involving periodic 
stress.
• Must be able to maintain a professional image and personal interaction with employees and 
customers. 
• Maintain an ethical approach to being profitable, sell the customer what they need. 
• Must maintain a clean driver’s license and criminal record. 
• Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays with no issues 
• Must have the ability to work in all weather conditions 
• Must demonstrate an ability to stay calm and fair in heated conversations 
• Maintain tools to perform job properly. Snap-On KRL 3000 or larger or equivalent
• Demonstrate the ability to follow policy, train and teach other employees 
• Must hold 10 ASE Certification in heavy truck or equivalent in OEM Training
