Overview
We are seeking a skilled Landscape Estimator/Designer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for professionals with a passion for landscape architecture, construction, and project management. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed estimates, designing landscape projects, and collaborating closely with clients and contractors to ensure project success. Candidates should possess strong technical skills, including experience with construction estimating software and site management, along with excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
Duties
- Develop accurate and comprehensive landscape project estimates using tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam.
- Design landscape plans that align with client specifications, site conditions, and budget constraints.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to review project scopes, negotiate contracts, and establish pricing strategies.
- Manage cost control throughout the project lifecycle to ensure profitability and adherence to budget.
- Review construction documents, contracts, and specifications to prepare detailed proposals.
- Assist in construction site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with design plans.
- Coordinate with construction management teams to facilitate smooth project execution from inception to completion.
- Provide ongoing project management support, including change order processing and schedule adjustments as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating, preferably within landscape or general construction projects.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating or design software is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of construction site operations, contracts, project management principles, and cost control techniques.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Background in construction management or related fields is preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications accurately.
- Prior experience working on construction sites is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in estimating processes.
