Salt Lake City based Rocky Mountain Recycling Services is a leader in sustainable recycling solutions, specializing in paper and plastic materials. We are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented salesperson that wants to jump in and learn the business, while growing their own career and opportunities. Our team is responsible to source recyclable fiber material (cardboard, various paper grades and plastic stock) for the processing plants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Acquisition: Identify and engage potential customers interested in recycling paper and plastic.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain positive relationships with new and existing clients to drive business growth.
- Sales Support: Assist in creating sales strategies and proposals to meet customer needs.
- Market Exploration: Conduct market research to understand industry trends and identify new business opportunities.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team and management to achieve sales targets.
- Handles supplier complaints promptly and effectively. Follow-up is crucial.
- Practices effective time and territory management.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite, sales tools, and other computer/online applications.
- Excellent communication skills are necessary, including oral, written, telephone and active listening.
- This position is based in an office setting. A valid driver's license and a reliable personal vehicle are required for field work. Mileage reimbursement.
Education:
- Some college courses attended and successfully completed.
- Relevant work experience may be substituted for educational expectations.
- Fiber and/or Recycling Industry experience is a definite advantage for applying candidates. However, a willingness to learn, work and grow will be a positive for any candidate as industry training will be provided.
We offer:
- Commission structure begins after 90 days of initial training and orientation, in addition to a base salary. SALARY IS NEGOTIABLE --DOE
- Rocky Mountain Recycling Services’ benefit package includes the following, the first of the month following the beginning of full-time employment:
- Heath, Dental, Vision coverage. (Company pays 70% of premium.)
- A 401(k) Savings and Investment plan matches dollar for dollar up to 3% and .50/per dollar for 4 and 5% employee contributions. (Maximum match is 4%)
- Company-paid Group Life and AD&D insurance with several voluntary insurance coverage options available.
- Five days (annually) of sick leave begins to accrue upon hiring.
- The first of the month following sixty days of full-time employment, two weeks (annually) of vacation time begins to accrue. This rate is for the first through fifth year of employment. The rate increases after five years of continuous service.
