Armed Security Officer - Aviation Worker Screening

Rocky Mountain Protective Services (RMPS) is immediately hiring a Part-Time Armed Security Officer for an aviation security assignment in Colorado Springs.

This position focuses on aviation worker screening and access control. The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, safety-minded, and able to remain alert and attentive throughout the shift.

• Screen aviation workers and verify authorized access.

• Check identification and credentials according to established procedures.

• Monitor and control access to designated areas.

• Observe and report suspicious activity, security concerns, or safety issues.

• Maintain a professional security presence.

• Follow all security procedures and post orders.

• Respond appropriately to security incidents and emergencies.

• Complete required shift logs and incident reports.

• Communicate professionally with employees, supervisors, and other personnel.

• Maintain a high level of alertness and professionalism throughout the shift.

• Valid City of Colorado Springs Guard Card with Armed Endorsement required.

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Reliable and dependable.

• Professional appearance and communication skills.

• Ability to remain standing and attentive for extended periods.

• Ability to work the required Thursday–Saturday schedule.

• Ability to pass required background screening and other pre-employment requirements.

• Thursday–Saturday

• 8:00 PM–4:00 AM

• Part-time

• Approximately 24 hours per week
