The Practice Administrator at Rocky Mountain Infectious Diseases Specialists, P.C. serves as the senior operational leader for a growing, multi-site infectious diseases medical practice consisting of:
- 10 physicians
- 60 employees
- 3 clinic locations in Denver metro area
- Office-based infusion services
- Consultation services at 6 hospitals
This is a highly visible leadership role working closely with physician owners to drive operational excellence, growth, and high-quality patient care.
This role is accountable for operational performance, financial outcomes, and the overall efficiency and growth of the practice. Responsibilities include clinical operations, financial management, human resources and staffing, compliance and quality, and strategic growth and partnerships.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Operations:
- Oversees day-to-day operations of a multi-site outpatient infectious diseases practice and infusion services, ensuring efficient, high-quality patient care delivery
- Partners with nursing, pharmacy, front office, and physician leadership to optimize patient flow, staffing models, and clinic performance
- Ensures appropriate physician scheduling and coverage across all practice sites
- Monitors operational performance and implements process improvements to enhance efficiency and patient experience
- Reviews patient satisfaction data and collaborates with clinical teams to drive improvements
- Serves as a liaison between physicians, staff, hospitals, and external partners
- Ensures effective use and optimization of EMR systems and information technology across the practice
- Oversees facility operations, equipment, and site management across all locations
Financial Management:
- Oversees financial operations in collaboration with the accounting firm, including A/R, A/P, payroll, and benefits administration
- Partners with billing and revenue cycle teams to ensure accurate, efficient collections and financial performance
- Manages operating expenses, purchasing, and inventory control across departments
- Oversees vendor relationships, contracts, and technology service providers
- Leads and participates in budgeting, financial planning, and performance monitoring
Human Resources & Staffing:
- Leads recruitment, hiring, and retention strategies to support current and future staffing needs
- Oversees employee relations, performance management, and annual evaluations
- Manages payroll processes and employee benefits in coordination with HR support
- Promotes staff development, team engagement, and a positive workplace culture
- Ensures appropriate staffing levels and alignment with clinical and operational demands
Compliance & Quality:
- Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local healthcare regulations and accrediting bodies
- Oversees provider credentialing, hospital privileges, and payer enrollment processes
- Maintains compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory training requirements
- Conducts incident investigations and reporting as needed
- Monitors clinical and operational quality standards, safety protocols, and facility compliance
- Ensures accuracy and timeliness of credentialing and regulatory documentation
Strategic Growth & Partnerships:
- Collaborates with physician owners to develop and implement strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and best practices
- Supports growth of infusion services and expansion of clinical operations
- Manages relationships with referring providers, hospitals, and external partners
- Oversees insurance contracting and payer relationships
- Participates in planning for facility expansion, lease management, and site development
- Contributes to long-term planning, scalability, and operational excellence of the practice

REQUIREMENTS
Education & Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Pharmacy, or related field required (Master’s degree preferred)
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive healthcare operations experience, including leadership in a medical group or hospital setting
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-department teams and ≥40 staff members in a clinical environment
- Experience in specialty care and/or infusion services strongly preferred
Operational & Technical Expertise:
- Strong understanding of medical practice operations, including front office, clinical workflows, billing, and revenue cycle management
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems and healthcare technology platforms
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general business systems
- Working knowledge of Information Technology (IT) systems and vendor coordination preferred
Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge:
- Knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and accreditation standards
- Experience with provider credentialing, payer enrollment, and insurance contracting
- Familiarity with compliance and quality standards in outpatient and infusion settings
Leadership & Professional Skills:
- Proven leadership in team development, performance management, and conflict resolution
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, staff, and external partners
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in strategic planning and operational improvement
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

POSITION DETAILS & BENEFITS:
Employment Type: Full-time
Compensation: $120,000 – $175,000 base salary, plus performance-based bonus opportunity
