Seeking a Rock Star Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced, dynamic team/family in our specialty dermatology office. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, demonstrates initiative, values the team player philosophy is dependable and demonstrates quality patient care.
Medical Assistants aid in the greeting, rooming, examination and treatment of patients under the direct supervision of our Physician and Physician Assistants. Applicants must have superior interpersonal and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a passion for providing outstanding patient-centered care.
Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week). NO weekends
Salary: $19.00 to $22.00 /hour. Dependent upon experience. One year commitment required.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist providers in rooming, scribing, and treating patients.
- Greets and welcomes patients in a competent and courteous manner. Escorts patients to exam rooms. Conducts preliminary health intake screening. Documents patient visit in EMR.
- Triage phone calls, manage refill requests, and completion of prior authorizations.
- Ordering lab tests, communicating pathology results, assisting with surgical procedures, sterilizing equipment and cleaning exam rooms.
- Assist with cosmetic treatments as needed including Botox, laser treatment, fillers, etc
- CDT certification provided upon acceptance (paid for by RMD) to be completed within 90 days.
