Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
- Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and product features to effectively sell items to customers.
- Restock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure a visually appealing shopping environment.
- Assist in inventory management, including receiving shipments and conducting stock counts.
- Utilize basic math skills for retail math calculations and ensure accurate pricing of items.
- Provide support to supervisors in training new staff members when necessary.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in cash handling and operating POS systems is essential.
