Position Summary
The Manufacturing Administration Intern is responsible for supporting the operations, planning, and process improvement efforts within a manufacturing environment, bridging engineering, production, and business functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in production line operations such as filling, coating, packaging, and labeling of chocolate products.
- Support quality assurance and food safety activities, including sampling, testing, and documentation to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Assist in inventory management and record-keeping for raw materials and finished goods.
- May contribute to process improvement projects or documentation of manufacturing steps.
- Communicate with Operations and other departments to share ideas and feedback on work processes.
- Learn and follow safety protocols in a food manufacturing environment, including proper handling of equipment, materials, and allergens.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Demonstrate initiative, teamwork and quality focus in all tasks.
- Be adaptable to changing priorities and able to learn quickly in hands-on manufacturing setting.

Education, Experience & Skills
- Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Operations Management, etc.), or a related technical or business field is preferred.
- Basic understanding of food safety and manufacturing processes is preferred.
- Proficiency with basic office software (e.g. Word, Excel).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict quality control procedures.
- Familiarity with MRP systems and manufacturing operations is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented, safety-conscious environment.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT
- Primarily office-based within a manufacturing and production environment.
- Frequent use of computers, phones, and standard office equipment.
- Regular interaction with warehouse, inventory, receiving, and production areas.
- Ability to remain seated for extended periods while performing computer-based work.
- Occasionally required to lift or move items up to 20 pounds.
