Saratoga View is looking for a dependable and caring Dietary Aide / Server to join our Food and Nutrition Services team.

Our Dietary Aides and Servers play an important role in the daily experience of our residents. You’ll help prepare dining areas, serve meals, deliver food to residents, and keep our kitchen and dining spaces clean and organized. Most importantly, you’ll help create a welcoming and respectful mealtime experience for the people we serve.

What You’ll Do

• Serve meals according to established portion sizes and dietary requirements.
• Set up meal trays, food carts, dining areas, and serving areas.
• Assist with checking dietary trays before meals are delivered.
• Deliver meals and food carts to designated areas.
• Collect meal trays and food carts and return them to the kitchen.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and food service equipment.
• Clean and maintain kitchen, dining, and food preparation areas.
• Sweep and mop floors and remove garbage as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked food storage areas.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, infection control, and workplace safety procedures.
• Treat residents, families, visitors, and coworkers with dignity and respect.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect resident privacy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Current Food Handler Permit or ability to obtain one as required.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Friendly, respectful, and patient when working with residents, families, and coworkers.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment with frequent interruptions.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on position in a healthcare dining environment. The role requires the ability to:

• Stand and move throughout the workday.
• Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach overhead.
• Lift and move food, supplies, trays, and equipment as needed.
• Work around hot cooking equipment, cold storage areas, cleaning products, and other kitchen hazards.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
• Assist with emergency procedures and resident evacuation when necessary.
