Rocky Mountain Assisted Living is looking for a part time activities coordinator.
JOB SUMMARY:
A person specifically trained and competent to provide ongoing program of activities to meet physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of Rocky Mountain Assisted Living residents under the direction, instruction and supervision of Rocky Mountain Assisted Living Director.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the elderly
- Ability to carry our written and verbal directions and to read and write.
- 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience providing care to the elderly
- Certificate in therapeutic recreation or activities in a plus
- Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office.

2. Ability to maintain composure and be resourceful in stressful situations.
3. Willingness to accept constructive criticism and the ideas and advice of others.
4. Strong organizational skills and ability to be efficient.
5. Ability to meet deadlines.

7. Ability to motivate residents and staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Plans monthly activity calendar for the designated home(s), ensuring all resident’s physical, emotional, spiritual and psychosocial needs are being met. Activities should include but not be limited to:
a. Group and one-on-one social activities
b. Indoor and outdoor activities
c. Community outings
d. Spiritual programs geared toward current residents’ faiths
e. Creative activities such as arts, crafts, music and drama
f. Musical activities such as sing-a-longs and hired entertainers
