Job Title: Golf Course Marshal
Job Summary:
We are seeking a responsible and personable Golf Course Marshal to ensure an enjoyable and efficient experience for all players. This role is essential in maintaining the pace of play, upholding course rules, and supporting overall course operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain proper pace of play across the course
- Communicate with players to encourage timely play when groups fall behind
- Instruct slower groups to allow faster players to play through when appropriate
- Patrol the course regularly to ensure all players are following established rules and etiquette
- Address minor issues or conflicts professionally and courteously
- Report any major concerns or violations to course management
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and assertive when addressing players
- Knowledge of golf rules and etiquette preferred
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Reliable and attentive with good judgment
- Driver's License and clean driving record (REQUIRED)
Work Environment:
This position requires spending extended periods outdoors and interacting with golfers throughout the course. Flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays, may be required.
