What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Advisor position at Rockwood Wealth Management?
Most “Associate Advisor” jobs are not really advisory jobs.
They are paperwork jobs. Product jobs. “Sit quietly in the second chair for five years” jobs.
This one is different.
Rockwood Wealth Management is hiring an Associate Advisor for someone who wants to build a real advisory career in comprehensive wealth management.
Not someday. Not after you “pay your dues” forever. Now!
You will work directly with experienced advisors on real planning for high-net-worth families, including retirement strategy, tax planning, estate planning, charitable giving, investment strategy, executive compensation, insurance, business owner planning, and the major life decisions that actually matter.
At Rockwood, Associate Advisors get real reps. You will actively participate in client meetings. You will build financial plans. You will learn how great advisors think. You will see how complex planning decisions actually get made. You will work with people who care about doing excellent work. And you will be surrounded by advisors who want to help you become great.
As a fully independent fiduciary firm, our focus is simple: delivering comprehensive advice that serves our clients' best interests—not selling products or meeting quotas.
The right person for this role is someone who:
- Loves financial planning.
- Wants to become a serious advisor.
- Has or is pursuing the CFP® designation.
- Brings 2–4 years of prior experience in wealth management, financial planning, investment advisory, or a similar financial services environment.
- Holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Wants more client exposure, not less.
- Enjoys technical work but does not want to be hidden in a spreadsheet forever.
- Cares about doing things the right way.
- Wants mentorship without micromanagement.
- Is ambitious, but not transactional.
- Wants a career, not just another job.
If you're an early-career wealth management professional who knows you're ready for more responsibility, more client interaction, and more opportunity to grow, we'd love to hear from you. If you're looking for a place to build a long-term career—not simply fill a role—let's start a conversation.
