Job Summary
We at Rockwood Early Educational Academy Inc. is seeking a passionate and dedicated EEC Certified Teacher to join our team. This candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of young children. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall safety and well-being of the children in their group as well as the development and implementation of the daily curriculum plan. This individual is responsible for adhering to quality standards set forth by NAEYC, along with contract and licensing requirement.
Responsibilities
- Plan, Implement, and evaluate a developmental curriculum in conjunction with co-teacher.
- Monitor and evaluate children's progress to ensure activities are meeting the children's needs.
- Maintain children's records, including observations, developmental gains, and progress report
- Communicate with parents, including parents/teacher conference and parent bulletin board.
- Communicate children's progress through individual meetings or parent/teacher conference.
- Attend staff meeting and workshops/trainings.
- Serve meals to children according to licensing and accreditation standards.
- Diapering and taking children to the toilet.
- Adhere to the center's Health Care Policies & Procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure stability of the classrooms.
Qualifications
- Must have Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) teacher certification.
- Must be First Aid & CPR certificate.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have completed six credits in Early Childhood Education and have a minimum of nine months of work experience.
- Must be working towards a degree in Early childhood Education.
- Must have a passion for teaching.
- Must have a caring and supportive approach to guidance.

Pay: $49,920.00 - $56,160.00 per year
